  • Park Home Reno: Lego Room

My boys lego room revamp is finally done and we are so in love with it! The hand-drawn skyline takes the lego room to the next level. Before: How to design a Lego Room Floors and Walls – First, choose what you want for your walls (and flooring if this is a full remodel). I painted all the walls white (Behr Frost) and did a hand-drawn skyline on the wall (tutorial coming soon) to set the tone for the room. We featured some of our favorite buildings. I wanted a hand-drawn look so I used a straight edge and a Sharpie Paint Pen to draw the design. I chose a black and white striped rug for the floors. Because this is a very large room, I chose a 10×13′ rug that covers nearly the entire floor.  Choose your furniture – Since I knew the rug, walls and bedding was going to be black and white in the Lego Room, I opted for colorful furniture including red headboards, yellow crib and green dresser. The colorful furniture makes the walls and rugs…

  • Modern Ranch Reno: My new Article Leather Sofas

Christmas came early this year for me when the most beautiful set of leather sofas from Article arrived at my house two weeks ago. I know it sounds so crazy and odd but I wish that you could smell how amazing these leather sofas smell. It’s really like heaven in my opinion. If you have been following along with my house you have known that my living room since we moved in has never quite worked. When we moved in we put my old sectional in the space and I did not love it. I wanted something a little bit more classic and little bit more modern. I have been wanting these Article Sven couches in the Charme Tan and Mahogany for the last couple of years and I can’t even believe that I actually have a pair of my very own. They are just so dreamy. Not only are they so beautiful they are so comfortable and I can’t get over how good they feel and also the quality of them. They are AMAZING. • Modern Farmhouse Kitchen Makeover

This post is sponsored by our friends at Elkay. All opinions are our own. Modern Farmhouse Kitchen Makeover I am so excited to finally see this project complete! I got to do something a little different for this project and play the interior designer for one of my dear friends, Lindsay and her family. My sweet friend and her husband Ryan are super handy and fellow DIY lovers! For their makeover, we worked together to plan their makeover, pick finishes and decor! Funny story, Lindsay and her husband are our realtors for our last 2 homes we’ve purchased. (2 in 2 years!) Over the summer, they told us they found their dream fixer upper and were going to sell their current home… then asked if we wanted to buy it! I joked with them in the past that if they ever sold their home, I wanted it and that day actually came! So… long story short, I live in their old house (#mallorysparkhome) and they are renovating their dream fixer upper farmhouse about 2 minutes away! They purchased their new house as…
