How to Make Faux Floral Arrangements
Learn how to make beautiful faux floral arrangements that will last forever! Perfect for easy home decor!
There is nothing I love more than fresh flowers on my entry right when I walk in. But let’s be real – fresh florals aren’t always a priority in the budget. I was set on putting together a faux arrangement that I could keep in my entry for a few months. After trying out a few different arrangements, I finally found a system that I love and I am so excited to share this tutorial with you today!
Where to Get Good Quality Faux Florals
I get my faux florals at Hobby Lobby or Micheals! I have also found some good ones on Amazon. However, I prefer to see them in person since the texture can be tricky. It is important to me that they look real!
Before I went to the store, I had a color scheme in mind. I went around the store to pick the florals I wanted. Once I had a few, I held them all in my hand to make sure the colors looked good together.

How to Put Together a Faux Floral Arrangement
Step-By-Step Floral Arrangements
- Choose your color scheme.
What colors do you want in your arrangement? I love to look on Pinterest or a flower website like FarmGirlFlowers.com to get inspiration and ideas for my flowers.
- Head to the store for supplies.
I always get several different types of flowers and I get a LOT of them. When you’re arranging, you’ll never know what you”ll need so I buy extra and plan on returning what I don’t use. If you see florals you like but the leaves look too fake – buy them and rip the leaves off!
- Choose your vase.
Decide on which vase you’ll put your florals in. You’ll want to find something white or sold colors so the foam doesn’t show through.
- Fill the vase with green floral foam.
The florals will stick to the green foam for a nice hold. Don’t forget this!
- Follow your inspo picture and start arranging!
You’ll likely need to cut, put apart, and bend florals to get the look you’re going for. Make sure you have lots of variation of texture and height. That is what makes it look so real!
Tips I Learned Along The Way:
- Don’t skip the greenery – it makes it look SO much more real.
- I love to see variation in the texture of the flowers. Some are more silky, some are a bit more matte. It really brings the arrangement to life.
- Start with your largest flowers and greenery first, then fill in with the colors and textures you have left.
- Adding height variation is the MOST important tip!
I am in LOVE with my new floral arrangements! They are bringing so much life into my space just in time for Spring! This is a tutorial literally anyone could do and would make such a fun gift!
