  • DIY Scalloped Christmas Table Runner

This DIY Scalloped Christmas Table Runner is festive, beautiful and easy to make! I made a few of them for our Merry and Bright Holiday Party. A Christmas table runner is a great way to dress up any table. This DIY version is super affordable too! Christmas Table Runner Materials: Festive fabric I got mine at Walmart but this pattern is available at most fabric stores. Any cotton fabric will work. Heat and Bond iron-on interfacing in medium weight Sharp scissors How to make a Christmas Table Runner Cut the interfacing lengthwise. This helps you save The “hot dog” way.  Since I did not need the interfacing on all of the fabric, cutting it allowing the interfacing to go farther.                             2. Next, I ironed the interfacing on. The reason why I used this was so that the fabric would be a bit stiffer, and so the edges would not fray and it makes it so much easier to cut when the interfacing is on the fabric. It basically stiffens the fabric…

  • A DIYer’s Garage Makeover

This garage makeover is a DIY’ers dream come True! Mine anyway! This garage makeover features cute yet durable flooring, storage solutions and even decorating ideas for your own garage makeover. Y’all, I finally got the garage makeover done. I am from Arizona and spent most of my life there, besides 4 years in New York and a month long attempt at summer sales in Houston, Texas that was the actual worst. So, I probably can’t say Y’all but it just came out. Anyway, I am freaking done. My garage looked like what I’ve consider “normal” which means to most us, of our Monica’s closets of our homes. All the random things we likely don’t need or items that don’t “have a home” which is my number one rule of order in my home. After my garage makeover, this habit has been broken and I am so glad to know where my stuff is. Looking at before and after pictures are sometimes misleading. This did not happen overnight or even in the same week. I worked on it for three weeks…

  • Classy Clutter Shop: Pillow Covers Collection

Our pillows were a labor of love. We created each one with the ultimate Classy Clutter vibe. They come in 3 sizes, 20×0″, 24×24″ and 12×36″. These are high quality pillow covers that are machine washable (do not dry!) and feature a gorgeous gold zipper. We also have 3 different “sets” of pillows that pair really well together! Classy Clutter Pillow Covers The Classy Clutter Signature Collection of pillow covers, encompasses everything that the Classy Clutter brand represents. Bold prints, flirty florals, luxe fabrics, gold zipper and best of all, affordability. These are pillow covers, not filled throw pillows so you have the option of recovering a pillow you already own or you can purchase pillow inserts for them. Pillow Inserts The pillow inserts can make or break the pillow. An ill fitting, sloppy insert can result in a pretty terrible looking pillow, even when you have the cutest cover ever on it. No one likes a misshaped or floppy pillow sitting on their sofa or bed. That being said, we recommend using faux down or synthetic down pillow inserts…

  • Park Home Reno: Lego Room

My boys lego room revamp is finally done and we are so in love with it! The hand-drawn skyline takes the lego room to the next level. Before: How to design a Lego Room Floors and Walls – First, choose what you want for your walls (and flooring if this is a full remodel). I painted all the walls white (Behr Frost) and did a hand-drawn skyline on the wall (tutorial coming soon) to set the tone for the room. We featured some of our favorite buildings. I wanted a hand-drawn look so I used a straight edge and a Sharpie Paint Pen to draw the design. I chose a black and white striped rug for the floors. Because this is a very large room, I chose a 10×13′ rug that covers nearly the entire floor.  Choose your furniture – Since I knew the rug, walls and bedding was going to be black and white in the Lego Room, I opted for colorful furniture including red headboards, yellow crib and green dresser. The colorful furniture makes the walls and rugs…

  • Park Home Reno: Main Floor Rug Round Up

Hey guys! A lot of you have asked a ton of questions about my rugs lately! I thought it’d be easiest to direct everyone to the same spot and answer some of the questions publicly versus in 100+ direct messages and emails. Dining Room Rug This rug in my dining room is from Overstock.com. You can get it here. I get an 8×10 rug. Your table and chairs should sit on your dining room rug. I love this rug for dining rooms because the color, pattern and movement in the rug hides pretty much any stain! It’s easy to clean and has a low pile so your chair lets slide easily across it. Living Room Rug The rug in my living room is the nuLOOM Vintage Perisian Distressed Pink rug from Overstock. I got the 8×10 but could have even gone up to 9×12′. I used my favorite rug tape (found here in our Amazon shop) I have (wood looking) tile and this tape is great for helping to hold rugs in place. I am not sure how it would do…

Today we’re going to show you how to install floating shelves. Installing shelves over tile can be especially tricky but with a few tips and tricks, it’s really not very difficult at all! How to install floating shelves over tile The shelves I got are from Ikea (LACK) but since I don’t have an Ikea near by, I ordered them on Amazon Prime. They’re more expensive but it would have cost me more to drive 2+ hours to Ikea and pay for gas and a babysitter. It saved me a lot of time too! Sometimes the convenience is worth the extra cost. haha! If you have an Ikea they’re only $15 each! SCORE! Installing Floating Shelves Materials: Ikea LACK floating shelves Level Painter’s Tape 2″ wood screws Diamond Drill Bit Installing Floating Shelves Instructions: Find your studs in the wall – Before I tiled the backsplash wall in my kitchen, I marked where the studs are on the ceiling. If your wall is already tiled and it’s not an exterior wall, you can find the studs on the back side…
