Fabulous Travel Trailer Redo
Finally, I have the before and after pictures of my travel trailer. We loved being able to partner with the Home Depot for this project. We put a lot of energy and time into this trailer and I totally love the outcome. I am so glad it turned out the way I wanted it too! We are excited that we are going camping in it this weekend and it just makes me so happy. My kids can hardly wait. I am happy our hard work has paid off and will pay off this weekend.
I mean it really did turn out so good. The travel trailer was not in really bad shape it just needed a bit of a facelift and lots of help. Here are some of the before pictures. Yes, they are bad.
I can’t wait to show you these. These are the after pictures and I am in love. It has made such a change in the way the travel trailer looks by giving it some TLC. Here are some of the after pictures…
Details about the paint inside the trailer you can find HERE
You can find the tile that we used at Home Depot HERE! We installed it ourselves
I love this wallpaper and I think its perfect for a camper. The reason why I wallpapered the trailer is because it already had old wallpaper and this way I could just wallpaper right over the old wallpaper.
I had them custom made. I wanted them to have a fun pattern and they roll up like a roman shade.
I spray painted the bathroom vanity with spray paint from the Home Depot. I can’t remember the color but it was like a robin eggs blue.
I had a professional upholstery company recover my sofa.
I am excited to share all the details of where everything is from and how we did this transformation. I plan on posting the trailer travel redo into a few more detailed post in the next few weeks. But now it’s time for me to get things really to go camping in this awesome trailer.
I really hoped you enjoyed. It will be so much fun making family memories in this trailer! Thank you for reading about our travel trailer redo! I would love to know what you think.
looks so good, you did an amazing job! i love the deer wallpaper and all the white ♥
i’ve been saying for years, they could sell a whole lot more camp trailers if they would up it a notch from the fake oak and hideous upholstery 😉
I know so true that’s why we finally got around to redoing our own! Thanks for stopping by!
I totally agree, I’m so tired of all the oak they use, your choice of white is wonderful!
It looks amazing.
I have always wanted a travel trailer. This is just beautiful. Thank you for sharing it.
Wow, your caravan is a true penthouse on wheels. Good job, girls! 🙂
My favourite part is the new couch: looks extremely comfortable. A very professional job
Wow, this is a such a fun transformation! I love how much brighter is is and all of the gold accents, especially the lighting! We are in the midst of renovating our RV and although it’s slowly creeping along this makes me even more excited for the moment we get to finally hit the road and enjoy it 🙂
Our trailer definitely was a big project but I couldn’t be happier with the results! All the hard work paid off taking it out camping with friends and family! It was a hit and everyone loved being in it! Good luck! xoxo
Great Reno! Did you paint the exterior yourself, and was it just an exterior paint, such as tremclad? Thanks
Yes we painted it ourselves and we use a automotive primer and a automotive paint.
Liked everything but the deer wall paper.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed! xoxo
nice job. alot of white inside.
I love it. Inside and out. Can you tell me how and what you used to paint the outside. Ours is a.24 ft 1988 and if I could.make the old.color.look.like yours wow it would be awesome. Thanks.
I really like the deer wallpaper you put up, it looks better than that floral pattern. With a camping trailer, I always liked adding camping themed things like that wallpaper. It’s something you wouldn’t really have in the average house, but is perfectly fine here.
Love it! I am going white interior too. I am getting some great ideas from you.
Where did you get those lights?!!
The lights are from Home Depot then spray painted gold.
Love the lights how did you do the wiring? Ours we converted to led bulbs.
When I read this I wanted to be back at 19. And along with my husband to tour the world with this trailer …
Wow. It looks amazing from the inside. I Love the idea of having home on wheels.
Such a wonderful restoration…I am happy to see people like you. I mean creative and skillful 🙂
Hi Mallory and Savannah,
Very nice of you for sharing it with us.
Travel trailer redo is one of the most important things to buy for a travel lover. It is more important when you didn’t know about the place you are willing to go.
The benefits that one gets on taking this, you won’t have to look for a hotel. You can stay on one of your favorite spots with all the things necessary for your daily schedule.
Thanks for the beautiful post.
Have a nice day.
What type of paint did you paint the Fridge Door with. Semigloss, satin, eggshell?
we basically have the same fifth wheel. The lay out is a little different. How did you cover the floral glass on the doors for the storage. Also the Deer wallpaper..How was that applied? We live in AZ too and worry about temporary wallpaper peeling off in the heat..any suggestions?
Love the wallpaper! Did you paint over the existing wallpaper to create the white areas of the wall? Would love details! Also, where is that pretty backsplash from? Such a unique touch. Thanks!
I found you via the Home D block for painting the exterior and now want to know what you did to paint the interior? Nice job!
hi! I used a paint sprayer and interior paint. I used Behr Swiss Coffee. 🙂
How much in total would you say it cost to paint the outside?
Hi! It was probably around $500 in materials. It all depends on the size of your trailer, colors and coverage. Hope that helps!
Have you posted the full remodle of the trailer yet? I’m wanting to remodle my ’89 Fleetwood and was looking for some help from your blog. Great job on the exterior.
Can you tell me the size (length) of your trailer please? Great job. Can’t wait to read the details.
Yes, I too am curious of when you will be posting the full details of remodel of the trailer? I have the same exact trailer and looking for help to remodel:) I am so impressed with your redo! Please give details. Thanks so much!!!!
Really want details on how do each part inside so I can turn mine from drab to fab too…..did you use kilz spray paint on cooler, did you change out ceiling fixtures, what did you use for trim around floor, did you paint ceiling, did you paint walls at all…..yes so many questions
Please do post the details, I am in the middle of deep cleaning ours and would love to know how you got away with painting the cabinets! It looks awesome. I also need to redo the ugly valences but can probably figure that out. But am scared to paint the cabinets. Now that I think of it tho…ours may be real wood. Got me thinking, MY HUBBY WILL BAN ME FROM THE INTERNET. LOL
Hahahah yes he might!! I’m glad you enjoyed the post! Yes, check out to see if yours are real wood or not if you have any more questions feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks for stopping by xo
Amazing trailer 🙂 I want to travel by this car. How much time did you spend in the interior?
We worked on it on and off for weeks so I’m not sure. Many, many hours!
So awesome – love the exterior colors! What kind of travel trailer was it?
Love the redo!! We are about to start one our own!! What kind of paint did u use on the cabinets?? I want to use something that I can clean and will not scratch off??
I love what you have done but where did you get those awesome wall lamps ?
Hi, Savanna! Vicki Massey here! Nice job! We just bought a 1986 motor home, planning to renovate. I’ll show it to you when I’m done. Thinking of cowboy modern. I love your ideas! Thanks for sharing!
Amazing improvement. The interior design and color is so cool to the eyes.
Your whole camper inspires me! I keep looking at vintage trailers with so much water damage amd think..what is so bad about a newer trailer…like yours… updated? So mow I will look more at newer ones to be redpne inside like you did! I love navy and whote too! Both inside and put! So crisp and clean looking! I like the layout of your trailer too…plenty of move around space.Hubby and I are looking forward to retiring withon a few years and plan a national parks trip around the entire USA woth some of our best friends!! We are both looking into buying and updating a used camper to duit our styles. Any suggestions as to where yo look would be appreciated. We live in upstae MEW York.. not the biggest camper market. It seems tyhe pacofic NW and california and Utah are full of campers!
Thanks gor sharing ypur beautiful camper redo with us! It is awesome! Looks so invitong! Enjoy making memories and having adventures!
Corinne from Rochester, NY
Did you replace the Top AC unit or just paint it white?
I love, love, LOVE what you did with this trailer. Hubby just bought an older trailer today and I will be attempting to work some magic on the inside and outside as well. Do you have a list of the materials you used anywhere? It would save me a lot of time and research! Again, it looks fantastic!
My 18 year old daughter just bought a 30 ft Fleetwood and we’re getting ready to do a full renovation on it. I can’t wait to finish it. She’s going to live in it for a few years to save up for a home. We’re actually going with your similar color scheme, navy blue, orangish red, coral, and turquoise. I think we’ll do a lot of the cabinets grey and are even installing quartz countertops. May go with your exact outside scheme, I just love everything in yours!!!
Good tips! I should be more conscious of what I eat when I travel. Good luck to the hubs this weekend! ?
I too am curious of when you will be posting the full details of remodel of the trailer? I have the same exact trailer and looking for help to remodel:) I am so impressed with your redo! Please give details. Thanks so much!!!!
Love the transformation. You mention in this post there will be details on how you did this but none is on your blog. Can we get them please?
I will be attempting to work some magic on the inside and outside as well. Do you have a list of the materials you used anywhere? It would save me a lot of time and research! Again, it looks fantastic!

Hi there! I absolutely LOVE this trailer transformation! I found your site because we are looking to redo ours as well. That being said, I have a few questions. First, did you replace the toilet with a more modern version? Are the cabinets new? Or did you reface them? Did you spray paint the appliances, ceiling lights, exhaust fan, etc., or did you order new? How long did the project take you? What was your budget? Sorry for all the questions!! : D
There are a lot of interesting subjects for producing a great 500-word essay. Nevertheless, you should choose a narrow topic for your work. Thus, you will not have any difficulties with reaching the required word count. The most efficient way to produce a superior paper is to cover the topic completely and meet the imposed requirements.
