Prescott View Home Reno: Master Bathroom Reveal

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Floor & Decor. The opinions and text are all mine. For Prescott View Home Reno: Master Bathroom Reveal.

Friends, I am so beyond excited and elated to finally reveal my master bathroom renovation with you! For the last, roughly, two months, I have put every extra moment of my time and 110% of my energy into renovating this space.

When we moved in, it was a very small bathroom that was separated by a wall to our, also small, walk-in closet. The previous space didn’t make the best use of the square footage available. We lost our walk-in closet but we still have another reach-in closet in our room that is plenty of storage space for my husband and I. You can check out all of the before pictures and get an idea of the previous layout in this post. Here is my inspiration board for the space!

We partnered with one of our all-time favorite stores, Floor & Decor for all of the tile in this space. They have THE BEST in-stock selection and rock bottom prices. I had a couple times that I ran out of the tile I was using and they’re customer service was so wonderful to work with! They really care about you and your project. Everyone in the store was so helpful! They also have free design services, which is amazing! My favorite part of the whole space is this mosaic tile accent wall behind our vanity. I used the Carrara Fan Marble Mosaic tile for this wall. Savannah came to my house and helped me work on this wall. I love how it turned out!

The main reason for renovation was that I desperately wanted a retreat to relax and take my evening bubble baths. I decided on a jetted tub and built the surround with this Carrara Porcelain tile on the tub deck and the Villa Artisan Frost Porcelain tile as a backsplash to the tub. I love how it looks clean and modern but still has a classic look.

The floors make the space look bright and clean. I chose the Carrara Polished Porcelain tile that looks exactly like real Carrara marble but is so much more durable for flooring. It was easy to install and I love how glossy and shiny it looks!

The shower was one of the craziest projects I’ve ever done. I spent 40+ tiling and grouting. We used the same tile on the bottom 2/3 of the shower wall as we did on the floor (Carrara Polished Porcelain Tile) and the Villa Artisan Frost Porcelain Tile on the top. We used the Bianco Carrara Marble Chair Rail to separate and accent the tiles. I picked the Bianco Carrara Hexagon Marble Mosaic tile for the soap dish and for the shower floor and it feels so nice on your feet in the shower. Also, side note… tiling around a square drain is SO much easier than tiling around a round drain so keep that in mind when choosing your shower materials.

For the front of the shower curb, I used the Bianco Carrara Marble Base Moulding and I love how luxe it looks!

Here’s a close up of the tile work. I love how the porcelain and the marble blend so well.

Tiling and soap dish can be tricky if you’ve never done it before but this was my second time doing a soap dish and I’m so happy with how it turned out.

Here are a few more shots of the space. Man, I love that pink barn door with the shiplap I installed!

The tile work is by far my favorite part of the renovation but I’ll share another post on sources for the materials and decor and costs related to renovating this space soon! I have ALOT to discuss. *wink*

Huge thanks to Floor & Decor for partnering with us on this renovation. I absolutely love this space and I finally got the retreat I’ve been dreaming of!

PS The light/chandelier above the tub is gorgeous! May I ask where you purchased it? ?

  3. Have you shared any info on what you used for the wood portion of the tub surround?! We are in the midst of a bathroom reno currently and I love that look but am terrified of the water/wood implications. Just curious if you sealed it with something in particular other than just paint?

  4. Hey! I’m installing the Villa Artisan Frost Porcelain Tile from Floor & Decor for my shower as well. The ends are unfinished though.. how did you transition to the wall? With caulk?

  5. I love how this turned out! What a perfect master bath. Any chance you remember the name of that gorgeous rug? I’ve been searching the site but to no avail. Thanks!

  6. Hi again! Did you ever do the follow up post where you shared materials and decor for this project? I’ve been searching your site and I can’t find it so I thought I’d check! I’d love to know where you purchased the large floral wall art and gold frame above for bath. Thanks so much! (I’m using your bathroom as the inspiration photo for our renovation next month ??)!

  7. Looks great! I am thinking about a similar look for our upcoming reno. Where did you find your brass fixtures? I am having a hard time finding a collection of fixtures (faucets, showerhead, towel bar etc.) all in the same tone.
