With our backyard project over the spring and summer, things have been a little dusty inside and my grout seems to have absorbed a lot of the dust and dirt from the backyard. Combined with every day family life, it needed a major refresh. Over the past few months, we’ve had a few different events at our home and clean floors are a MUST.  Cleaning before parties and events are absolutely crucial to a stress-free day and such a small thing makes a huge difference in
how your space looks and feels!

The best way to clean grout

  1. First, sweep your floors to remove any loose debris from your tile. You can also use a vacuum with a hard-surface attachment for this step.
  2. Using the Clorox Bleach Pen go over your grout lines with a generous amount of the Bleach Pen Gel. You could also use Clorox Clean Up Cleaner + Bleach but we prefer the Bleach Pen for smaller grout lines as it allows for more precision cleaning.

3. Let the Bleach Pen Gel sit on the grout lines for 10-15 minutes for best results.

4.  While the product sits on the grout, attach the scrub brush attachment to the power drill.

5. Using the power drill and scrub brush, scrub the grout lines and work the Clorox Bleach Pen Gel into the surface.

6. Wipe excess Clorox Bleach Pen Gel from the tile and continue to work around the area that you want cleaned.

7. Finally, mop floors for a complete clean that will make your floors look and feel like new and ready to host family and friends!

  1. I assume you have the caveat that this is for porcelain tile only? Or light colored grout? This can’t be a safe method for marble floors.
