Can you even believe that the holidays are here?! To celebrate the season and take advantage of this beautiful Phoenix weather, I am hosting a holiday dinner party in my backyard! We renovated the entire backyard last year and I have been looking forward to entertaining in this space ever since!

How to Decorate for the Holidays

To set the ambiance and style these holiday table decorations, I hung sheets of lights all around my patio. I picked up these lights from Walmart and they made it so easy to hang several rows of lights all at once. And WOW, what a difference, right?!

LIGHTS

PLAID RUNNER

Decorating a table is all about adding layers! We always want to start with a base and for my holiday table, I chose this plaid runner!

PLATES

I’ve had these gold chargers for a few years now and they have been used time and time again! They are PERFECT for the holiday season!

The white plates are these ones from Walmart. I like using white plates because regardless of the style or detail, white plates will always look great next to other white plates!

The small holiday plates on top I purchased last year from Walmart and they are so special to me. They have the 12 days of Christmas on them but could easily be switched out if you want to style your table for Thanksgiving or another holiday!

ADDING HEIGHT WITH CANDLESTICKS

I always recommend adding height to your table! Use candlesticks and candles with different shapes and heights to have variation. These candlesticks come in packs of 3 which is so convenient!

How cute are these small wooden tea candle holders?

MARBLE SERVING PLATTER

I used this stunning marble serving platter to highlight the white pampas in the vase. I liked having them at the end of the tables to frame the entire space.

GARLAND // GREENERY

You won’t believe where I got my table garland – my own backyard! This was an easy and free way to add texture and life to a holiday table. This is the final layer to my holiday table decorations and it really pulls it all together and breaks up the red!

I am going to have a few blankets ready for guests who may get a little chilly after dinner! Maybe I should add a hot cocoa bar, too?! Love this cozy braided blanket from Walmart!

BLANKET

I absolutely love everything I found from Walmart Home and I hope you do too! Walmart’s home decor selection is truly unmatched, especially for table setting.

It’s been an amazing year so far and I can’t wait to end it on a high note with this holiday party setup! Enjoy!
