Are you ready to enter MY room!?
I craft here. I sew here. I edit photos here. I play here. I blog here. This is my creative escape. I love me a bright, fun room but it’s a little difficult to have a girly space when you live with 3 boys! This is MY space! …and I love every little bit of it!
I love that I made just about everything in this room. Β It really made it feel like my own personal space when I was able to create each and every thing in it to my own liking.
I made this sign out of an old side table. The legs were a mess so I took them off and used the table top to make my sign. I’ll do a post on how to make these signs soon.
I love the musical Wicked and one of my all time favorite songs is Defying Gravity, my inspiration for this sign.
I made this bunting out of some scrap fabric! I’ll show ya the tutorial soon! π
CREATE with Embroidery Hoops
I love this little owl that my friend Kate gave me! Thanks girly!
I found this dresser on the side of the road!! I lololoLOVE roadkill rescue projects! I primed and painted it Behr’s Glacier Bay and gave the hardware an update!
The detail of this piece stole my heart! It is seriously perfect for all my craft supplies, fabric and tools!
Thanks for visiting my little corner of the world π Someday I’ll get an amazing rug and a fancy pants chandelier in this room! I think I need to hit up Ikea!
EverythingΒ in this room was purchased for under $12 each! Most for under $5!Β (except my computer and sewing machine of course!) Decorating CAN be inexpensive! Β Thrift stores, yard sales and DIY people! π
What do you think? Craft night anyone?

June 3, 2013 at 11:39 pmWow! That dresser you rescued from the side of the road turned out beautiful! What kind of finish did it have when you found it or could you determine it’s original finish? Did you have to strip it down, put a primer over old finish..would you mind telling us how you refinished it. Like maybe a tuitorial? Do you put a sealer on top of the base coat? I’ve never finished any furniture before except bookcases to my knowledge or recollection. A lot of people look for great buys of furniture on Craig’s list or even Free Cycle.
