  • Colorful and Eclectic Teenage Bedroom Makeover

We posted how we did this awesome wall treatment a few days ago and we wanted to show you the rest of the room. You can see all the details about who we did this room for and for how we did the wall treatment HERE. Now here are some more details on this awesome room makeover.   It’s about layering great colors and textures together that make a cute room into an over the top awesome room. It is no secret that we love gallery walls. A few of these items are from our personal houses that we gave as a gift for Bailee’s room. The watercolor and the animal print and the heart are all from Mallory’s Office and the today is the best sign is from my girls bedroom. The map is a new print that I just added to the Classy Clutter Print shop. You can find the Map HERE. I made this headboard a few years ago. It was in my girls room and I recently just changed up their beds to a trundle bed…

  • Movie Night Mantel Decor

Movie Night Mantel Decor This month as part of the Michaels Makers team, we were challenged to throw a Summer Party! We always have a bunch of parties to attend in the summer! We also celebrate 3 of our 6 family members’ birthdays in the summer; one in May, my birthday in July and one in August.  For this summer party, I thought it would be fun to do something different than a summer holiday or birthday party and do something that is perfect for summer but could also work all year round. We love to stay up late and watch movies in the summer so I thought it would be so fun to create a fun movie night and invite cousins over to watch our favorite family movies! Que the popcorn! I am obsessed with this cute Cinema style decor from Heidi Swapp, available at Michaels. I got the lightbox, “Showtime” arrow marquee and lightbox accessories. You can purchase a Heidi Swapp Lightbox here. I got a red garland and a gold garland and alternated the colors to make…

  • Star Wars Kids Bedroom

This Star Wars Kids Bedroom reveal is sponsored by American Furniture Warehouse but all the opinions are my own. Star Wars Bedroom You guys!!! I am so excited to share my little boys room with you today. To say that he is obsessed with his new room is a bit of an understand. My three-year old little boy Ryder LOVES Star Wars. I wanted to give him a themed room with out it being to “cheesy” and I really think that Mallory and myself nailed it. The Furniture The first thing that I bought for his new big boy room was his headboard. I wanted the headboard to be classy and timeless and when I found this headboard from American Furniture Warehouse I knew it was perfect. What I love about the headboard is that it totally gives the room a very rich and sophisticated feel to the room, especially with a themed room that was really important to me. I LOVE American Furniture Warehouse. I am lucky enough to have one about 20 mins from my house and whenever I…

  • DIY Triangle Design Faux Wallpaper

This post is sponsored by Silhouette America. All ideas and opinions are my own. DIY Triangle Design Faux Wallpaper I’m super excited to be sharing this really easy triangle design faux wallpaper look tutorial with you today! This is my baby’s little nursery nook. We removed the closet doors to expand on the square footage of the room. My littles don’t have any clothes that need hanging except their church clothes, which I keep in my closet. Why not put the wasted space to good use! I decided it didn’t want it to look and feel like I closet, so it definitely needed decor. First, I started by cutting LOTS of equilateral triangles using my Silhouette Studio Software. I found and equilateral triangle on a google search and used the Trace tool to create the custom shape. Then I duplicated the shape and arranged them to maximize the space and minimize the wasted vinyl. On the cut settings, I used the Vinyl preset and cut them out using my Silhouette CAMEO. I started at the top and just started placing them…

  • Mallory’s Girly Office Makeover

Mallory’s Girly Office Makeover Pretty in pink! I am love with the office space in my new office. It’s the perfect place for me to create, do vinyl orders and even sit and watch Friends. For real. I did bright white and pops of pink and gold throughout the room and I love the turn out. I painted the swash of pink and added my custom made Classy Clutter sign from LetterCraft. My favorite woodworking artists and my neighbors! I created a gallery wall effect on the main wall right when you walk in and used our DIY Acrylic Calendar (See our tutorial here on A Beautiful Mess and/or you can purchase calendar decal here) I used my glittered CREATE letters again from my old craft room, watercolored the flamingo and made a few prints using Heidi Swapp’s Minc Machine. I mean, the gold foiled leopard is my favorite! For the craft island, I took 4 cube organizers and used a huge sheet of melamine on the top and screwed them all together. The flamingo details just make me so happy!…

  • Tribal Inspired Bedroom Makeover

I am soooo excited to finally reveal my little boys room. This room kind of acts like a guest room a lot of times since we get a lot of visitors at our house.  When guests come, my 3 year old, Tanner gives up his big queen size bed and bunks up with my and the hubs. That way guest (when it’s family or close friends) share a room with Palmer (our 1 year old). If the visitor has a baby, Palmer is happy to give up his crib for a night and make camp in a pack ‘n play. You know how the whole rearranging thing goes when guests are over, right? I wanted this room to make a tribal inspired vibe. Both boys that share this room were born in Buffalo, New York and Buffalo has rich Native American history, just like our home state of Arizona. I wanted the room to capture that feel with a modern twist and a few childhood references, like our ABC art work we got from LetterCraft. The bedding is from one…
