Bright new Bread Box!
Hi! I found this bread box at Goodwill on 1/2 off day! I loved the shape and the roll-top door(?) Is that what you call it? Does it even have a name? Anywho… I did not love the color and I really thought it needed a little knob to make it easier to open and close…
I primed it….
And gave it a coat of Rustoleum’s Sunflower. I was at Home Depot and they didn’t have anything in Krylon but the Rustoleum worked great!
I drilled a hole with my brother-in-law’s drill (Thanks Ben!) and added the crystal knob. Who knew gorgeous crystal knobs are only $3 at Home Depot! SCORE! Then, I distressed it a little. 🙂
I love this little knob. So convenient, so cute!!
Do you like how it turned out! I am SO GLAD to get my bread out of my cupboard. It was taking up a whole shelf and always looked cluttered.
Do you like it? Do you like the yellow??

This is beautiful! I do love the yellow you chose…it’s very soft and warm. 🙂
Thank you for the sweet comment on my blog! All of your furniture makeovers are SOOO cute!! Such great ideas!
That is gorgeous! Score for the half off and the crystal knob!
I LOOOOVE IT! I love the way the green comes through just slightly where you sanded. I love the glass knob too! Sooo cute!
The roll top is called a tambour.
This turned out super cute!!
…love it when we can see potential in other people’s unwanted items 🙂
