Say goodbye to Summer with a fun Ice Cream Party
This post is sponsored by Target. All opinions and statements are my own.
With summer coming to an end and fall just around the corner we wanted to celebrate one last time. I am always sad as summer comes to a close but always ready for the fall. Nothing is better than ice cream on a summer day and with that in mind I wanted to have a little ice cream party with my kids after they finished up the first week of school. I headed to Target to gather everything that I needed.
I love all the Spritz party supplies at Target because everything matches and it makes the party come together very cute and very easy. The Spritz party line has everything from matching balloons, banners, plates and forks to party hats, matching garlands and cute straws and so much more.
For my party I got a cute Banner and I added pink stickers that spell out “Party,” a pom-pom garland, pink balloons ( I glued brown craft paper on the bottom of the balloons to make them look like ice cream on a cones), matching napkins, spoons and darling party hats.
What would an ice cream party be with out the ice cream and toppings? I got all my favorites: sprinkles, Oreos, marshmallows, mini chocolate chips, peanuts, chocolate sauce, caramel and cherries to top it all off.
I knew that my kids were going to prefer to have their ice cream in cones so I also got sugar and waffle cones for them. Let’s be honest I am a kid at heart and I love a good ice cream cone.
For the decorations I wanted to stick with the theme of the party but also keep it simple and cute. Just by adding brown craft paper to the bottom of the balloons to create the look of ice cream in a cone it really added a cute element and it went right along with the “Ice Cream” theme of the party and my kids loved them. They were pretty easy. We just blew up the balloons like normal and then using a needle and fish line we thread the balloons together and then using a low temp glue gun we glued the brown craft paper in the shape of a cone and glued it to the balloon. We did have to cut a corner of the paper off in order to form the cone. It was pretty easy and it fit the theme perfectly.
My kids were so excited for the party and it was a perfect way to bring our summer to a close and get ready for the fall to begin. We look forward to the fall and I look forward to the next party. I love all the Spritz line at Target and I know I will be using their product line for my next event. Find your style @TargetStyle
