Hi friends! It’s Katie from Made to be a Momma. I hope you all had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving! I am still feeling the effects of my carb-overload filled day. Every year the day after Thanksgiving my sisters, mom and I go Black Friday shopping and then Saturday is my day to decorate for Christmas. Every year some Christmas decorations begin to make their appearance before the big turkey day but my main decorations don’t normally go out until two days after Thanksgiving. My decorating style right now with two young crazy boys is “KEEP IT SIMPLE” I spend hours drooling over all these pretty decorations and room decor I see on Pinterest but the thought of my boys being able to destroy a room in about 4 seconds flat deters me from a Pier 1 home 🙂 I thought this little mason jar candle holder would be perfect for the Christmas season and it is! It’s fully covered in fake snow and topped off with some red jingle bells and a covering of glitter that matches the glistening snow outside. What I love most is this project can be completely in a matter of 20 minutes and the snow spray can be washed off after the holiday season passes—you also have the option of using a snow textured paint that you can find in craft stores for a permanent decoration.
All you need is :
Red Jingle Bells
Fake Snow Spray or Paint.
Leaving the lid on your mason jar, spray it or paint it with your fake snow. If you use the spray just be careful when handling because it never fully dries. Once your spray your jar remove lid and slide your fingers inside in order to hold the jar. Sprinkle with glitter. Place Jar back on table and carefully tie ribbon or jute with your bells already strung on, around your mason jar and tie. Place a candle inside making sure no fake snow got inside the jar. So simple and SO pretty! I love how sparkly it is when the sun hits the jar.
