Mallory’s Family Salsa Recipe

Howdy friends! Hope you’re having a terrific week! We’ve sure had our ups and downs this week but it’s been a good week!  We took the kids to Golfland-Sunsplash in Mesa today and my kids LOVED it. Season passes are a dream. My kids we’re in heaven!

It’s getting HOT HOT HOT in Arizona! I wanted to show you all a YUMMY family salsa recipe! My Aunt and Uncle served a mission for our church in Mexico City so I definitely trust their judgement with great Mexican food. This salsa recipe does NOT disappoint!

I’m not gonna lie, perhaps the reason this salsa turned out SO GOOD when I made it was because I got nearly all of the ingredients from my other Aunt and Uncle’s fresh garden!

Yummmm!!!
My son and I had so much fun picking these tomatoes! Don’t they look gorgeous!?
Look at all these tomato plants! They’ve also got zucchini, carrots, potatoes, bell peppers, cucumber, lettuce, cherry tomatoes, hens that lay fresh eggs and a complete herb/spice garden.
We got fresh cilantro in here! 🙂 Someday Mallory, someday.

Mallory’s Family (Mild) Salsa Recipe
CHOP: 4-5 Fresh tomatoes
ADD: 1 large can of crushed tomatoes or Rotel
CHOP: 1 Sweet Onion
ADD: 2 cans of diced green chilies
CHOP: 1 Large Bell Pepper (Color optional)
1/2 bunch of cilantro – finely chopped
SQUEEZE: 1 fresh lime
ADD: Salt, Pepper, and Lawry’s Seasoning Salt to taste. (I used lots of Lawry’s, it’s my favorite)
ADD: 1 Tb Mrs. Dash
CHOP: Few cloves or garlic
SPICE IT UP! Add chili powder, cayenne pepper or jalapeno peppers.
MIX: everything together and refrigerate!
**We also added a can of corn drained and a can of black beans also drained**
You have GOT to try this!
