Baked Parmesan Garlic Chicken
Okay, so I know I’m not a food blogger but when I made dinner the other night, I knew I had to share this with you. I combined two of my favorite (simple) recipes and made the most delicious chicken on the planet! Seriously. I was shocked at my mad cooking skills! My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1 Tbs of lemon juice
- 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 package Good Seasons Italian Dressing mix
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 6 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Mix cheese, dressing mix and garlic powder.
- Remove chicken from marinade and coat with dry mixture. Place in shallow baking dish.
- Bake 20 to 25 min. or until chicken is no longer pink in the center.
That looks and sounds delicious, going to try this, for sure. Thanks for sharing

You do have some mad cooking skills! This looks fabulous!
Hey, I tried this for dinner last night! It was pretty good! The boyfriend added marinara sauce and two pieces of bread and made it a sandwich which was excellent, but we agreed it needed a little more flavor. That could have been my mistake in using Mrs. Dash seasoning instead of the Italian dressing mix, whoops. Thanks for the recipe!
Looks amazing, as I am writing I am marinating the chicken! Lovely photos by the way. Saludos, all the way from México!
Yum! Thanks for sharing! I can’t wait to try it out!!

Wow, it looks great and delicious. I wanted to try this at home maybe on weekends or tomorrow. I love chicken so much, thanks for sharing this to us I found another best recipe.
Goodness, this looks like one yummy dinner!
I had guests over last night and tried this recipe for the first time. They loved it and my husband and I loved it. It was delicious!
I’m making this tonight! I didn’t have lemon though, oopsie.
Hi Stacie! Hope you liked it. The lemon is great but it will still be fantastic without it! xoxo – Mallory & Savannah
This looks delicious! Pinning now.
We had this for dinner last night my DH got home whille it was simmering, he sampled it so much had to get him to stop or there would have been none for dinner. Will definately make again. Had it with rice, asperagus done on the BBQ & coleslaw well balanced meal. thanks
So glad to hear it! We love it at our house too! xo
Looks delicious, and I’ve made similar recipes that were indeed easy and yummy. I think the recipe would be more clear if the chicken were listed in the first group of ingredients, so that the instruction to “marinade” would clearly refer to the chicken. As written, it looks like the chicken isn’t used until time to cook. I’m sure anyone familiar with cooking would know this, but just in case a newbie were trying the recipe, that would help.
I absolutely love this recipie!! I pair it with brown rice, and my family absolutely loves it!!
I have made this multiple times now and it is a family favorite. It’s hard to believe something so quick and easy can also be this delicious but is is! Thank you soooooo much for this recipe!
So glad to hear it!!! We love it at our house too! Thanks Rachel!
My husband and I make this chicken at least once or twice a month! It’s one of our favorite go to meals now. We use Greek yogurt instead of milk and love the extra amount of creaminess it adds!
This dish is FANTASTIC! I made it today for my kids and I and my parents. It was a hit from the 2 year old to the 82 year old! Everyone had seconds and wanted thirds but there wasn’t any left! Hands down, this is the BEST chicken recipe I’ve ever tried. Perfect seasonings and juicy! I served mine with mashed potatoes and green beans. This will definitely be in heavy rotation at my house 🙂
I had a big problem with this recipe….there wasn’t enough! My family, all five of us, even the one year old, loved this! I also thickened the sauce a bit and even added a capful of real bourbon! we will be making this again really soon!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for stopping by!!
I took KristieKatz advice and used the crockpot method because I had a playdate scheduled and needed to have something for dinner. I wish I had time to brown the legs before I put them in the crockpot, but I browned up the legs when I got home, and wound up thickening the sauce on high for 35 minutes so it reached the glaze point. I doubled the recipe, used 13 legs and served rice noodles on the side. My husband said that the noodles need to be a staple in our dinners. Great taste, my 5 year old licked her hands clean after every bite and I haven’t seen her messier since she was a toddler eating spaghetti. And my one year old did a happy dance after every bite. Great recipe, next time I’m going to try this with Alton Brown’s baked brown rice.
Just finished making this. Boy, is it good, lip-smakin’ in fact! After reading the reviews, I decided a couple of changes…I used boneless/skinless chicken thighs cut into pieces, and dredged in some cornstarch. (1 tablespoon = 2 thighs) I boiled down the sauce a bit before adding the chicken (approx. 15 minutes), and once I added chicken it cooked very quickly. (20 minutes). Other then that, I did everything else the same and it was Awesome with a capital
Absolutely delicious! Our second time making it, we add Panko breadcrumbs and pair it with Pasta sauce and spaghetti for a chicken parm!!!
