2014 Valentines Day Party + Party Tips

As I was looking through a few of last years Valentines Day posts I realized that I never shared what I did for last year’s Valentine’s Day Party. I did share with you my cute invitations which were these cute boxes that had the party information on the circles that were sewn together.

If you want the full tutorial you can go check out that post HERE. They are super cute, easy and cheap.

Now, back to the party. Something that I think make a great party is always the good food. I was in charge of dessert and I assigned everyone else something to bring around the menu that I wanted, which was Mexican food. That included Taco meat, taco toppings, chips, homemade red and green salsas, bean dip, and Honey Lime Enchilada. I also assigned the drinks.

For dessert I did one of my all time favorite dessert ideas which was Ice Cream Sundaes in waffle cone bowls from Cold Stone Creamery and they were a hit! I had some syrups, brownies, bananas, Oreos, strawberry topping and some sprinkles to make the sundae perfect! Everyone loved them.

Another key element to a great party is the decor. Over the dessert table I did a group of different sizes of lanterns and different balls and I think they turned out very cute.

We had a few different games at the party like Minute to Win it, and also Reverse Truth or Dare, which was so much fun. I will be sharing more details about how to play these game on a future post. So keep an eye out for that.

The last thing I had the guest do was take a quick picture in front of the photo booth with the cute props from Little Retreats. She has the cutest props ever! Love them!!!!
