Jalapeno Hummus
I love Hummus! I especially love Jalapeno Hummus. I made this hummus to bring to a family party and everyone loved it. It’s really easy and quick especially when you use a Vitamix Machine.
I have had this blender for a while now and its my favorite. The touch screen is awesome and the power in this machine is unmatched. I have tried many different blenders and this one is by far the best one I have ever had. When I made this hummus it came out super smooth.
This is what you will need to make this hummus….
Jalapeno Hummus
Ingredients:
2 15 0z can of Garbanzo Beans (I removed the skins of the beans, it makes the hummus a better texture. It’s really fast and the whole can maybe took like 5 minutes or so.)
1/2 can of chopped jalapeno or one whole jalapeno seeded ( you can add more if you want)
2 tablespoon tahini ( I ordered mine from amazon )
4 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
3 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
1 tablespoon parsley
Juice from 2-3 limes
2 clove of garlic, minced
2 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
1/2 cup of water or little more if needed.
Directions:
I removed the skins of the beans, it makes the hummus a better texture. It’s really fast and the whole can maybe took like 5 minutes or so.
Place all the ingredients in the Vitamix and blend until smooth.
Garnish with optional toppings like more chopped cilantro and serve immediately, or refrigerate in a sealed container for up to 3 days.
Enjoy!
Ah, I’ve always thought a Vitamix was a fancy blender only for smoothies or weight loss drinks, not an actual blender to do regular blending in xD
Hummus is amazing. Whenever we buy it, we normally get the spicy variety or the garlic, and they are both delicious! I tried making hummus once before, but didn’t realize the recipe called for canned garbanzo beans…it was a disaster. I think it’s time to try again – especially this one with jalapeno in it! 😀
A very healthy recipe is this. I need to try this in my kitchen. I like the Orange Berry recipe also from here.
SOOOOOOOOO good! I got so many compliments and everyone wanted the recipe! I didn’t use the curry powder since I didn’t have any but it was still amazing! I also added 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley – it looks pretty this way!
Yay! We’re so glad you liked it!
