Movie Night Mantel Decor

This month as part of the Michaels Makers team, we were challenged to throw a Summer Party! We always have a bunch of parties to attend in the summer! We also celebrate 3 of our 6 family members’ birthdays in the summer; one in May, my birthday in July and one in August.

For this summer party, I thought it would be fun to do something different than a summer holiday or birthday party and do something that is perfect for summer but could also work all year round. We love to stay up late and watch movies in the summer so I thought it would be so fun to create a fun movie night and invite cousins over to watch our favorite family movies! Que the popcorn!

I am obsessed with this cute Cinema style decor from Heidi Swapp, available at Michaels. I got the lightbox, “Showtime” arrow marquee and lightbox accessories.

You can purchase a Heidi Swapp Lightbox here. I got a red garland and a gold garland and alternated the colors to make a multicolored tassel garland. Michaels has a bunch of colors for the garland so you can get really creative with the colors!
