It really is the most wonderful time of the year. I love everything about winter, the smell of the crisp air, fires, Christmas lights on every corner and most importantly Hot Chocolate! We LOVE an awesome Hot Chocolate Bar and we’re going to show you some fun ideas for creating your own!

Hot cocoa has been a huge part of this time of year since I was a little girl and I have always loved making out very own hot chocolate bar. I hope to pass along the same tradition to my own kids. This year we got the Keurig® K55 brewer and it has changed how we do Hot Chocolate in our house! It is so easy to use and it has the ability to brew three single-cup beverages in under a minute. How amazing is that?! We absolutely love it set up in our Hot Cocoa Bar. We got the black brewer but it also comes in Rhubarb (red) which is just so cute, especially for the holidays!

How to Set Up the BEST Holiday Bar

Get the right materials.
The secret to the best hot cocoa is to have an amazing Keurig. The Keurig’s make the best hot chocolate and coffee and they are very modern looking. They come in all different colors which is perfect for the holidays!
Decorate with toppings.
Toppings are what make the individual hot chocolate’s unique and they look so cute on the bar! You can get nice jars to put them in and display them for everyone to experiment with.
Prepare ahead of time.
The last thing you want to do is be under prepared! Make sure you have enough toppings and K-cups to last.

I decided to set up a Hot Chocolate Bar and invite some of our friends and family over to enjoy some yummy hot chocolate and help celebrate National Hot Cocoa Day which is on December 13!

The main star of the Hot Cocoa Bar is the K-Cup® pods. They come in three amazing flavors Peppermint Hot Cocoa, Light™ Hot Cocoa, and Milk Chocolate Hot Cocoa I love every single one of them! They’re so yummy! I think Peppermint is my favorite.

How to Make a Hot Chocolate Bar

First, you need to use the Keurig® K55 brewer and have it displayed for your guests! It’s so easy to use and it is most definitely the first step in getting that perfect cup! It creates a steamy cup of hot cocoa in minutes and it comes out perfect every time!
The toppings and mix-ins can make your hot cocoa, over the top, delicious! Plus, its fun to make! Experiment with your favorite creamers, syrups, candies, etc to get the perfect combination for you! For our hot cocoa bar, we used flavored syrups, many different kinds of marshmallows, chocolate dipped marshmallows, chocolate dipped stir spoons, peppermint stirrers, crushed peppermint, whipping cream, and a few other fun toppings.
Prepare ahead of time. The perfect hot cocoa bar is super easy to throw together. With the Keurig, you don’t have to prepare very much for the set up. Along with the Keurig, you need is your favorite K-cups, water and any add-ons that you’d like!
