You guys! It’s that time of the year! You know, time to start crossing names off of your gift list! We have such a fun gift idea for you today. Research has shown that 90% of people love getting gift cards but only 30% feel comfortable giving a gift card. Say what?? We think the problem is that people think gift cards can be misconstrued as impersonal or can come across like the giver didn’t put much thought into the gift. That is totally not the case, my friends! If you’re anything like us, your wish list is a long one and we definitely love when someone gives us gift cards to buy exactly what we want, in the size we want, in the color we want, etc.
We’ve teamed up with Target to show you that a Target GiftCard® can not only be the perfect gift but can also look great while giving! No more greeting cards with a gift card shoved inside. Although there is nothing wrong with that, per se, we like to do things over the top! You already knew that, didn’t you? Today we’re going to show you how to wrap up your gift card in a super fun and unique way!
Balloon filled with helium; we used two.
Gift wrap ribbon
Large Gift Bag
Hole punch or tape
First attach a long strand (3-5 feet) of ribbon to your helium filled balloon. Then, grab your Target GiftCard® and use a hole punch to punch a hole in the corner of the paper holding the card.
Then, feed the ribbon(s) through the hole and tie in a secure knot. If you don’t have a hole punch, you can purchase one at Target (here) or use a piece of tape to secure the ribbon(s) to the back of the gift card.
Finally, place your balloons in the gift bag and cover with tissue paper. When your friend or loved one opens their gift, the balloons will float up with the gift card acting as a ballon anchor! It’s a fun surprise and an awesome present!
Isn’t that so fun? We can’t wait to give away a few of these this year! So, let’s hear it… are you a gift card giver? Do you love receiving them or not so much? We LOVE them!
