  • Mallory’s Classic Colonial: Living Room Reveal

This little living room has quickly become one of my favorite spaces to lounge in. I can see a full view of most of the house and I love the sunshine pouring in from the new window. Quick backstory: We bought the house in March 2019 and on day one, removed the wall separating the kitchen and dining room which resulted in removing the double ovens in that wall. We turned the remaining kitchen into a more updated, livable space for our family until we had the wild idea to relocate the kitchen altogether to another area of the home. This worked fine for a few months until we moved the kitchen but then it left us with two kitchens so we had to remove the old one, for obvious reasons. haha! We fixed the plumbing and electrical but were left with a window that was too small for the space since it no longer had a sink beneath it. My plans of turning that window into doors went out the window (pun intended) when we opened the wall to…

  • Mallory’s Classic Colonial: Breakfast Nook Makeover

I used to spend little to no time in this space before I did this very bold and brave (for me!) makeover in our breakfast nook. If you’ve been around for a while, you know I LOVE navy blue so I went all out navy in this space. When we bought this home, this space was totally neglected and more of a passageway than a room. When we removed the old kitchen nearby, I knew this space could be the perfect breakfast nook off of our new kitchen! We replaced the floors and painted everything white for a temporary fix. A while later, I borrowed the light fixture for our new laundry room makeover which left this space totally neglected and empty. Nothing a little paint and decor couldn’t fix. AFTER Breakfast Nook Sources: Paint Colors: Behr Starless Night (matte on walls and semi gloss on doors and trim) Ceiling Medallion Chairs Blue Tray Blue Glass Set Blue Glass Bread Plate Blue Glass Motifs Plate Hangers Navy Curtains Chandelier How to Hang Plates on a Wall I have been collecting…

Please leave a comment with any questions. Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart for cheering for me every step of the way. This post is sponsored by Elkay. As always, all opinions are our own. I’m in the middle of this kitchen renovation and I feel like I am going a little bit crazy! With the holidays and all of the construction it can be so chaotic and busy. Not to mention, I am doing the baseboards and trim work myself, which is just a tad bit time consuming haha! Seeing the progress each day is so motivating! I’ve been sharing everything behind the scenes on stories (@classyclutter) which has brought up a ton of questions and requests for links. Now that we have finalized so many of the details, I’m ready to share what we have chosen for #MallorysClassicColonial! Sink The sink was one of the first things I picked out for my kitchen. • Mallory’s Classic Colonial: Living Room Details!

My kitchen is currently being put back together after months of being torn apart. If you haven’t heard, we actually moved the location of our kitchen form one room to another. Well, my living room is right in the middle of that and because of the new layout, the furniture we had didn’t exactly match the floor plan. Here is what we have so far and I cannot wait for you to see! Paint Colors We are keeping with the black and white color scheme through the living room. The white we are using throughout our house is BEHR Frost. The black we used is Rust-oleum Chalked in the color “Charcoal” nuLOOM Amerie Vintage Medallion Area Rug This was a super exciting Etsy find! You can find it here! • FULL REVEAL: #MallorysClassicColonial Laundry Room!

This post is sponsored by BEHR Paint Company. As always, all opinions are our own. We always say that paint is one of the easiest ways to transform a room. And it is! But it still requires thinking of an idea, going to the store, choosing paint samples, testing them at home, and then going back to the store once you’ve made your decision. That’s a lot of work! For my laundry room makeover, we took a whole different approach thanks to BEHR® Express! I started by checking out all of their color options online. They have a curated palette of 55 can’t go wrong colors to choose from and a super handy quiz to help you narrow down your color choices based on the room and style. Once you choose your color options, they send over peel & stick paint samples! No painting required! I just stuck them up on my wall to make sure the color was exactly what I envisioned! I’m hooked and never going back! TIP: Paint can look very different depending on the space and lighting in…

  • Mallory’s Classic Colonial: Exterior Brick Reveal

This post is sponsored by Behr Paint Company. All ideas and opinions are my own, as always. This exterior painted brick project was been one of the most rewarding DIY projects I’ve taken on. Exterior Brick Paint We used two coats of BEHR® Masonry, Stucco & Brick Paint – White in a Flat sheen for the brick. We used a large airless paint sprayer to get the job done and we were able to complete the entire front of the house in just one day. Red Front Door For the front door, we used a angled paint brush and BEHR ULTRA™ Exterior Paint. The color is “Red my Mind” in Semi Gloss. DIY Black Painted Shutters We hand painted our shutters with BEHR ULTRA – Exterior, Color: Carbon in Satin. You can read my tips for painting doors and shutters here. This post is sponsored by The Home Depot. All opinions are our own, as always. Hi friends! Just popping in to update you on the LifeProof carpet in our new house! We partnered with The Home Depot on this project and it was the best decision ever. LifeProof Carpet For our family room and kids bedrooms we chose LifeProof carpet and the style is Briarmoor II. • Mallory’s Classic Colonial: Dining Room Makeover

I’m so excited to be sharing some actual progress with you guys on the house. This dining room is literally visible from most areas of our house and was a little bit of a challenge for me to make sure that all walkways are clear, the furniture felt appropriately sized and things didn’t feel too blocked off. You literally have to be able to walk around the entire table because it’s in the middle of the whole house. We opened up some pocket doors that lead to our living room and took out a wall that was in between our dining room and our kitchen. The wall didn’t look structural then ended up needing a beam and also caused a minor A/C reroute. We had our new floors installed (you can read about the flooring in our house here), painted the walls Behr Frost (a cool white), installed baseboards, new electrical outlets and switches and finally a new light fixture. I love the boldness of the black and white with the traditional furniture and architecture. I want our home to…
