DIY Chalkboard Menu Board

chalkboard menu 3Today, I’m going to share with you one of the most used items in my home…. my chalkboard menu board! Hooray for getting organized with my menu planning!

Remember my dining room

Well, I used this window’s twin to make the board! It was just too perfect not to use it!

Basically, it was super duper easy! All I did was paint the glass using chalkboard paint I borrowed from my friend, Jen. Then, I used my Silhouette to make vinyl labels for each of the window panes. If you need vinyl cut, visit my etsy shop or shoot me an email at classyclutter4 (at) gmail (dot) com.

I really love the old chippy paint!

….and that was that! So easy!! However, then I ran into a little problemo! This chalk…

was NOT working! It kept falling off of that tiny ledge onto the floor and breaking! SO annoying! I later found this adorable little teeny tiny tin bucket at Hobby Lobby for a buck or so. I used one of those little screw in hooky things and hung it up, filled it with chalk and voila!

Perfection!

This is the view standing right in front of the chalkboard menu to give you kind of an idea of the layout! It’s perfect in this spot!

 Like it?

I love this little, simple, cute, cheap, useful project! I got the window(s) off of craigslist for $5 each so after buying the little tiny bucket, this makes for a $6 project! LOVE IT!  What do you think!?
