  • Mallory’s Girly Office Makeover

Pretty in pink! I am love with the office space in my new office. It’s the perfect place for me to create, do vinyl orders and even sit and watch Friends. For real. I did bright white and pops of pink and gold throughout the room and I love the turn out. I painted the swash of pink and added my custom made Classy Clutter sign from LetterCraft. My favorite woodworking artists and my neighbors! I created a gallery wall effect on the main wall right when you walk in and used our DIY Acrylic Calendar (See our tutorial here on A Beautiful Mess and/or you can purchase calendar decal here) I used my glittered CREATE letters again from my old craft room, watercolored the flamingo and made a few prints using Heidi Swapp’s Minc Machine. I mean, the gold foiled leopard is my favorite! For the craft island, I took 4 cube organizers and used a huge sheet of melamine on the top and screwed them all together. The flamingo details just make me so happy! You can purchase them…

  • Travel Trailer Redo

Finally, I have the before and after pictures of my travel trailer. We loved being able to partner with the Home Depot for this project. We put a lot of energy and time into this trailer and I totally love the outcome. We are going camping in it this weekend and it just makes me so happy.     I mean it really did turn out so good. The trailer was not in really bad shape it just needed a bit of a facelift. Here are some of the before pictures.     Here are some of the after pictures…   I am excited to share all the details of where everything is from and how we did this transformation. I plan on posting the trailer travel redo into a few more detailed post in the next few weeks. But now it’s time for me to get things really to go camping in this awesome trailer.…

  • Tribal Inspired Bedroom Makeover

I am soooo excited to finally reveal my little boys room. This room kind of acts like a guest room a lot of times since we get a lot of visitors at our house.  When guests come, my 3 year old, Tanner gives up his big queen size bed and bunks up with my and the hubs. That way guest (when it’s family or close friends) share a room with Palmer (our 1 year old). If the visitor has a baby, Palmer is happy to give up his crib for a night and make camp in a pack ‘n play. You know how the whole rearranging thing goes when guests are over, right? I wanted this room to make a tribal inspired vibe. Both boys that share this room were born in Buffalo, New York and Buffalo has rich Native American history, just like our home state of Arizona. I wanted the room to capture that feel with a modern twist and a few childhood references, like our ABC art work we got from LetterCraft. The bedding is from one…

  • Mallory’s Dining Room Makeover

I’m super excited to share my dining room makeover with you! It’s more of an eat-in kitchen situation. I love this little spot in the house. We spend a lot of time here. We do homework here, have dinner here, sit and chat and it is quite literally the center of our home. I got this rug from from Rugs USA and I love the pop of color it adds to the space. I absolutely love these chairs I got from Amazon. They’re black so they never look dirty and the plastic allows me to clean them really well. The Eames design is my fave! I built this hexagon table from an old kitchen table and some hairpin legs. I will be sharing the tutorial soon! I am head over heels in love with my new light fixture. I chose the Sputnik Chandelier from Lucent Light Shop. I love the shape, size, color, everything! The mid-century vibe is just everything to me! I have it on a dimmer switch and it’s so bright when I want it but I can…

  • Superhero Boys Room Revamp

Remember a few years ago, when I live in Buffalo, I made my kids an epic modern superhero room? Well, we moved and had to reconfigure the room and I thought it would be fun to show you the few changes. Their room in New York was a loft bedroom and it was HUGE. Like the upstairs loft bedroom was the same square footage as the entire downstairs of our house. We had 3 kids sharing the room and still had a TON of room for playing, dancing and being crazy boys. Now we have a typical size kid’s bedroom and our older 2 kids sharing this room and it’s been great! We stacked the beds (they can be used either way!) Cool, right? Also, before anyone wigs out, the top bunk has a rail but I took it off for photos because you couldn’t see his cute bed on the top bunk and the the rail thing is super ugly. Blah, blah, blah. 😉The cute modern superhero pillows are from GEEK and the CHIC and the quilt is from dear friend…

  • Mallory’s White Kitchen Makeover Reveal

It’s finally done! My kitchen makeover is D O N E!!! I found this rental when we were still back in New York online and I was super excited because it was way bigger than my NY home and had a pool (!!!) and a ton of storage! What more could a girl want?! I knew there were a few things that I wanted to ask to change right off the bat. Since we’re renting, I got my landord’s approval to paint. I asked for the cabinets specifically since that’s not really reversible without a ton of work. The landlord said YES and I was pumped. After we moved in, a couple months went by and I started to get used to the wood cabinets (that were in terrible shape btw… peeling clear coat all over the place) and questioned if I wanted to put in the work to paint them. After all, it’s “just a rental”.  Then I kept thinking “ugh.. I hate when people say that!” Just because it’s a rental doesn’t mean you have to live with it. Even this…

  • Master Bedroom Reveal and a killer deal for you!

It’s finally time to show you my master bedroom makeover. I’ve worked on this room for the past seven months, off and on trying to figure out exactly what I want to do with it. I finally got my act together and I am in love with the turn out. I had a decorative design on this back wall then I totally changed my mind and painted it a rich navy. The paint color is Sherwin Williams Naval. I love the color and I love how the gold just pops off of the navy. My nightstands, vanity desk and dresser all came from Ikea. I built the massive headboard and it’s one of my favorite parts of the room. I really like it against the navy wall. On my side table, I keep this little charging dock near my bed for my iPhone and Apple Watch. This dock is amazing! I’m obsessed with it and you can snag one here. I did a mini makeover on the vanity desk and the added some paint and fabric to the buffalo check…

  • Living Room Updates and Aqua Antlers

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by DecoArt. All opinions and ideas are my own. Hi friends, Mallory here! Since my living room reveal, I have added a few new fun things to my living room makeover. I switched out a few things here and there, swapped out the coffee table for an ottoman (my poor kidney shaped coffee table broke – sad!) and changed the mirror to a wall of maps. The map wall is one of my favorite things in my house right now. I took (9) Ikea Ribba Frames in black and printed off 9 different city maps of places we have lived, been to and loved or would love to visit some day! My favorite is the New York City subway map and the map of Lithuania, where my husband used to live. Ever heard anyone speak Lithuanian? Hot! 😉 I used (9) 19 3/4 by 27 1/2″ Ribba Frames and used the mat that came with it. I found the maps I wanted via Google Images and had them printed as Engineer Prints at Staples in…

  • Bettijo’s Urban Farmhouse Kitchen Tour

Hello! I’m Bettijo visiting from Paging Supermom today to share a tour of my new kitchen. We’ve been working on our urban farmhouse kitchen transformation since July. Check out #SeventiesKitchenRehab on Instagram to see how far we’ve come. In true DIY fashion, we did almost all the work ourselves, including installation of all the new cabinets, a farmhouse sink and lots and lots of tile! We did have some professionals help with electrical wiring and drywall finishing. Plus I was super grateful to have Savannah and Mallory’s styling input and help photographing the completed space. I’ve been dreaming about this kitchen makeover since we bought our house over six years ago. Back then it looked like this… After living in the house for a few months, I had changed things up as much as possible to make it more pleasant until we could do the full-scale renovation… And now it looks like this… One of the first things I wanted to do differently in the remodel was double-stacking the cabinets in this vaulted area. The second row of upper cabinets…

  • How to Organize your Pantry and a Pretty Pantry Makeover

This post Pantry Makeover is sponsored by Expressions Vinyl. All ideas and opinions are my own. Hi guys! I’m super excited that you’re here. You know I love a good DIY project more than most but nothing makes me more giddy than when DIY meets pretty, functional organization! My recent pantry makeover has seriously made me SO happy! I am loving it all and it functions approximately one million times better than before. Here’s how it looked when we found the house for rent online. This was before we moved in, as in, this is not our food nor do I have any pets so this photo basically just shows you the size and boringness that I was working with. When I moved in, we had a small white room with white shelves, totally normal for most homes. First, let me just say that I’m beYOND excited to actually have a pantry but it needed a major pantry makeover. I haven’t had one in 5 years in the last 2 homes we’ve had so this pantry is Heaven on Earth for me!…

  • Increase the value of your home with a Kitchen Update

Income Property on the DIY Network is one of my favorite shows. It is always inspiring me to change things up around my house. I was inspired by the show Income Property to write this post. My kitchen has gone through a series of makeovers since we have lived here. Recently, we did a renovation and I am so excited to show it to you. Although we rent this house, we work closely with the owner to do little home improvements and it’s a win-win on both sides. He gets an updated house and we will work some kind of deal with him to take some money off of our rent for the month. To start let me show you how the kitchen looked when we moved in. It was in rough shape and the colors were all wrong. Right when we moved in we knew the kitchen was the first thing that we wanted to fix up. The previous tenants were taking the refrigerator that they brought with them, the dishwasher was not working and the oven was no good either.…
