  • GIFT IDEA: DIY Photo Display Hoop

This article is sponsored by Walmart and SheKnows Media.   My in-laws are always asking for updated pictures of my kids to have in their home. For Christmas this year, I thought it would be really fun to give them a gift that will give them those updated pictures they’ve been asking for!   I got all my supplies for this DIY gift including the Fuji Film Instax Mini Camera at Walmart. During the hectic holiday season, it’s always a win when you can make one trip to the store and get EVERYTHING you need. And Walmart is definitely that one-stop shop that has literally all of your holiday needs in one place – from fresh groceries to toys to craft supplies, home decor and more.   If you’re not familiar with the Instax Mini Camera, you should be! It’s the perfect under $60 gift for the photography lover in your life. It’s adorable, compact and comes in a few fun colors. This camera is super fun to have at parties where guests can snap fun photos of themselves or just to…

  • Park Home Reno: Living Room Makeover

I’m so excited to share this space today! I decided to take a few photos before I got my Christmas decor up this year. We still have a few things to do in this room but here it is for now! This is what the front room looked like when we first moved in. It’s literally the exact view right when you walk into our house. First, I painted all of the walls Behr Frost (satin) and the navy wall is Behr Starless Night (flat), my FAVORITE navy right now. We installed Reverie Sputnik Chandelier from Lucent Light Shop. I built the mantel using the same method as I did in my old house. You can get that tutorial here. DIY Fireplace Mantel. I’ve linked all of the sources for where I got everything at the end of the post after the photos.   I love my blue/white glass collection and I actually have a new place for the collection to go soon but I’ve loved collecting these lamps, jars, vases etc! • Blue and Orange Thanksgiving Tablescape

I honestly can’t believe tomorrow is Thanksgiving! It has really come so fast. I know everyone always says that but still! I sort of got “last minute” thrown into hosting a few family members for Thanksgiving and I’m a little nervous! Cooking for other people gives me some mad anxiety. Luckily, my hubby is a great cook and he’s totally taking charge of the turkey. I think I can handle the rest… ish… Our dining room isn’t quite “done” but I got it ll painted and my favorite light hung up. You can find the Linear Cage Chandelier here. I still need to get my window seats reupholstered, find some pillows for them and maybe do something fun/creative on the walls. Since I’m not a big “hostess” I wasn’t sure if/how I should decorate the table but then I saw this gorgeous tablescape from Pizzazzerie and since I had all of the blue and white glassware, I figured I could pull something similar together! I basically assembled some of my glassware and added a ton of fall foliage stems to…

  • DIY Christmas Wreath and Front Porch

This post is sponsored by JOANN. All opinions and ideas are our own. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! I am SO excited!! This year Christmastime will bring so many gifts to my family and I! During the Christmas season we’ll be welcoming our fifth baby boy into our family and I will finally get my boot off of my broken foot and be able to walk again! YAY! How’s that for an eventful Christmas!? To get into the spirit, I headed to JOANN and grabbed some festive items to give my front porch a makeover! I wanted to make a new wreath to compliment our newly painted, red, front door! We painted our house navy blue over the summer and I have been itching to paint the door red and it was perfect timing for the holidays! For the wreath, I was leaning toward something traditional but we wanted to put a unique, modern twist to it so Savannah and I decided to make a wreath out of a picture frame! I absolutely LOVE the rectangular shape…

  • DIY Fall Entry Way

This post is sponsored by Krylon® Brand.. All ideas and opinions are our own. Fall is by far one of our favorite times of the year.  It seems like we wait all year for the temperatures to drop down to an enjoyable level. This year, I decided to give my entryway area a fall refresh to bring that feeling I love into my home with Krylon®) Brand. My old entry table was starting to look tired and worn but I absolutely love this piece so I knew it was time for a makeover. I used 3 cans of Krylon® ColorMaster™ Paint + Primer in Hunter Green It took 2-3 coats to cover the previous paint color. I absolutely love the vibrant green that is so on trend right now in home decor and interior design. I finished off the piece by painting the knobs with 3 coats of Krylon Premium Metallic in Copper Foil. I used less than a can for all of the knobs. I always like to do an extra coat of paint on things that will be handled…

  • Park Home Reno: Master Bedroom Reveal

It’s finally time for my master bedroom reveal in our new house. I was still loving our old room when we moved but when you move, you kind of want a fresh start sometimes so I made a few tweaks from our old bedroom and did a full refresh! Here’s what the space looked like on move-in day! I repainted the room in Behr Frost (the white I used throughout my house) and got a new rose gold canopy bed and that really set the stage for the makeover. PS. I’ll list all sources at the end of the post. 🙂 I have reused my dressers and nightstands in (now) 3 room makeovers so all those hours putting together Ikea furniture was worth it. I’m actually surprised at how well the Ikea furniture has held up. I really love how the space turned out! It feels clean, cozy and romantic which is the feeling I was after in this space. I’ve linked the sources for everything in the room below. Bedding: White Duvet – Jane.com Grey Sheets – Jane.com White/Grey Euro Shams…

  • Park Home Reno: Laundry Room Makeover

Hi friends! Mallory here! I’m still alive and I am excited to finally be sharing a room makeover with you all! This pregnancy and broken foot have really slowed me down! haha! The laundry room, as you can imagine, gets a lot of use in a family of 6 (almost 7!).  I have always felt that its easier to do tasks that you don’t particularly like when you enjoy the space you’re in. Luckily, this was not a huge renovation and mostly needed cosmetic upgrades to fit our style and a few changes for the function of the space.  The previous owners (and our dear friends!) installed beautiful wood-looking tile, new cabinets and a beautiful countertop which already provided an excellent layout and function to the space. We were due for a little upgrade, mostly regarding size, of our old washer and dryer! We worked with Home Depot and ordered a new washer and dryer online. Man, I love ordering things online and The Home Depot makes it so easy. If you follow us on Instagram, you saw our stories…

  • Modern Farmhouse Kitchen Makeover

This post is sponsored by our friends at Elkay. All opinions are our own. I am so excited to finally see this project complete! I got to do something a little different for this project and play the interior designer for one of my dear friends, Lindsay and her family. My sweet friend and her husband Ryan are super handy and fellow DIY lovers! For their makeover, we worked together to plan their makeover, pick finishes and decor! Funny story, Lindsay and her husband are our realtors for our last 2 homes we’ve purchased. (2 in 2 years!) Over the summer, they told us they found their dream fixer upper and were going to sell their current home… then asked if we wanted to buy it! I joked with them in the past that if they ever sold their home, I wanted it and that day actually came! So… long story short, I live in their old house (#mallorysparkhome) and they are renovating their dream fixer upper farmhouse about 2 minutes away! They purchased their new house as a big project!…

  • DIY Macramé Wall Hanging

This post is sponsored by Fiskars. All ideas and opinions are my own. I am so excited about this project! Many of you saw our sneak peek on Instagram stories and you were excited about it too which makes us EVEN MORE excited! We’ve partnered with Fiskars in celebration of the 50th anniversary of their iconic Orange-handled Scissors! The color of the scissors inspired us to create a bit of a throwback project to the popular 1960’s trend, macramé! And, Fiskars Orange-handled Scissors were also a product of the 1960’s! We are so excited to celebrate 50 years with them! Materials: Fiskars Original Orange-handled Scissors 400 feet of thin rope 3-4′ wooden dowel tape basic knowledge of macramé knots or watch our video (here) on the 3 knots needed for this piece. (Lark’s Head Knot, Square Knot, (Diagonal) Double Half Hitch Knot) First, cut a piece of rope about 1-2′ longer than your dowel and tie a knot on each end. • Modern Ranch Reno: My New Kitchen Sink

This post is sponsored by Elkay. All opinions are our own. My kitchen has been through many different phases. I want to take you through all the phases so far of our kitchen. Let’s start at the beginning. When we moved into the house the kitchen was dark and not the light and bright look I was wanting in a kitchen. The kitchen is such an important part of our home. It’s were our family starts and ends the day. The cabinets were painted to make them look like they are cherry wood so the first thing I wanted to do was to paint the cabinets white. I got to work the week that we got the keys to the new house. I wanted the cabinets to be painted and ready right when we moved in. The next step of making my kitchen more of what I wanted was a backsplash. The only problem with a backsplash is I could not choose one that I was ready to commit to. I found an image on Pinterest that I loved of an…
