I am finally getting around to sharing the plans for my master bedroom! It’s pretty much the last space in the house I haven’t shown much of. I have changed my entire design for this space like 3 times over the last year and I am happy to say I’ve finally figured out what I want! Yeah… it only took a year!
Here’s where the room started on move-in day last June. I brought the furniture from our old house and it sat like that for a long time. Months later I painted all the trim and crown moulding black and decided I liked a more moody vibe. Then I changed my mind. Again. I repainted it all white and knew I needed a brighter, more airy looking space. I installed shiplap, grabbed some new mirrors, a rug, lamps and some throw pillows. I was LOVING the direction I was headed but I knew I wasn’t quite there.
To complete the space, I replaced my mattress with the ultimate “ahhhh” mattress on the market, in my most humble opinion, a new Stearns & Foster bed! This mattress has literally changed my life! My husband is obsessed too! I can’t lie, I wish I had this Stearns & Foster bed with the rest of my pregnancies. It is comfortable and allows me to sleep soundly at night, thank goodness! To finish it off, I built a new headboard, repainted the shiplap so the new headboard really popped, got a new fan (it’s Summer in Arizona – much needed!) and got some new pillows! I did some finishing touches with some new accessories and I am absolutely in LOVE with my new space! I can’t wait to show you the full reveal next week! Here’s a peek because I just can’t help myself.
