I absolutely love Acai bowls! There is a little restaurant locally that sells smoothies, protein shakes and acai bowls and they’re all so delicious! We partnered with Vitamix and I decided to recreate my favorite acai bowl at home. It turned out amazing and saved me a few bucks!
- 2 teaspoons of acai powder (I love this kind.)
- 1 frozen banana
- 2 cups of frozen fruit (I did 1 cup of strawberries and 1 cup of pineapple)
- 1 1/2 cups of almond milk
- toppings – My favorites are fruit, coconut, granola, a drizzle of honey
Mix all ingredients (except the toppings) in a Vitamix blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a bowl and top with your favorite fruit, granola, coconut flakes and a drizzle of honey! The honey adds the perfect amount of sweetness and I highly recommend it! Give this recipe a try and let us know what you think! Acai is packed full of antioxidants, fiber and heart-healthy fats!
