10 Tips for a More Comfortable Pregnancy

I just recently had my fourth baby and it was my best delivery of all my kids. Pregnancy is hard, really hard. There are many things that you can’t really help, but there are things that you can do to help make the pregnancy and the delivery more comfortable.

I don’t know about you but my body just hurts doing pregnancy. Here are a few things that I got helps ease some of the pain.

1. Epsom Salt

I enjoy taking baths. Not everyone loves baths, but I take a few bath a week while I am pregnant. I use Epsom Salt in my bath to help relax my body. My favorite Epsom Salt has the lavender in it which helps relax my body even more.

2. Hot Pad

My back is my biggest source of pain when I am pregnant. Especially since I work as a hair stylist which means I am on my feet for many hours a day. After a long day at work I will hang out on the couch watching a good show and I will lay on the hot pad.

4. Comfortable Clothes

It’s worth the investment to get a few comfortable pieces of clothing that will last you throughout the pregnancy. I love black leggings with a bigger waist band. They are comfortable and they look like I am trying more than my baggy sweat pants.

6. Sleep

Sleep is so important. When I was 3 months along I got a new mattress and it was best thing that I did in my pregnancy and in my life. I got an intelliBed and this bed has changed the way that I sleep. Sleep is so important and in order to get a good sleep you need a good mattress. Even when I am not pregnant I would toss and turn all night long. My husband would always complain about aches and pains. Ever since we got the intelliBed his aches and pain have been so much better and I am not tossing and turning all night. We both have a more restful sleep ever since we got this mattress.

Intelli-Gel which is in the intelliBed provides the perfect amount of firm support and comfort at the same time. The Intelli-GEL cushioning layer has the ability to help align your body in a way that helps to improve your quality of sleep. The Intelli-GEL mattress is the only medical grade mattress on the consumer market. It is made out of the same materials used in hospital burn centers. It really is a healing mattress.

I got these facts from the intelliBed website to help you understand some of the science behind how great this bed is.

8. Pregnancy Pillow

Although in my every day life my intelliPILLOW is my favorite I did get a Pregnancy this time around and it helps when you get farther along. I will say though I hate how big and in the way they are. Whenever I make my bed it was always a pain to deal with it. But they are super comfortable.
