Hi Classy Clutter Fans! I’m Taryn from Design, Dining and Diapers, a place where I talk about decorating our home, share DIY tutorials, easy recipes and much more. And I LOVE Instagram, so come say hi over there too! 🙂

Are you getting into the holiday spirit yet?! I’m loving all these posts so far. There is something about holiday decor that puts a little smile on my face. I love adding to my holiday decor stash each year by creating new pieces. Today I’m sharing a little mini Christmas Tree I put together with a fun chalkboard pot. It’s a time piece of decor that you can put your own spin on and sometimes a little tree is all you need.

DIY Christmas Decor - Stenciled Tree Pot

Simple Typography Pot with Mini Christmas Tree

A simple little tree on or coffee table brings a whole new feel to our family room. It brings a sense of joy and peace and makes me want to curl up in a blanket and drink hot cocoa. Anyone else with me?!

SUPPLIES

I purchased all my supplies for this project at Michaels.

Supplies:

pot with stencils

If you don’t have your own cutting machine, these adhesive stencils are the best. They are super easy to use and you don’t have to worry about them slipping while you trace the letters. I love this pack of inspirational words and I thought they were perfect for the holidays.

chalkboard potYou could easily paint the letters on, but since this is a chalkboard finish I wanted to use a chalkboard pen so I could erase the words and create a new design down the road.

TYPOGRAPHY POTThere you go, a super simple and you can personalize it all you want!
