I have made some changes over the last few weeks around the house and they were all very easy and quick changes but they made a BIG impact. Joanna Gaines from the hit show Fixer Upper on HGTV is such a role model and a little while back she updated a house and added the most amazing atrium in the house, since then I have wanted to add fresh herbs into my life. I got these shelves at Ikea and I had them styled with some dishes but I now have floating shelves in my dining room area ( which I can’t wait to show you next week).
Since I moved the dishes from the Ikea Shelves the herbs found new home right in my kitchen and they make me so happy! Another change I made in the kitchen was changing out my bar stools and I must say it was LONG over due. my old black bar stools were much to high and it was not that comfortable to sit at the bar. Now with the new bar stools that I found at Target the bar has now become the most popular hang out spot.
For a reminder check out what my kitchen area once looked like above. My kitchen has been a work in progress if you want to see the story from the beginning check out the story HERE. Below is what my kitchen now looks like. I love the new look. It makes the kitchen look much better.
The new blinds are from Home Depot and the runner is from Target.
The picture above is what my fireplace and my tv area looked like a little while back. Paint can do the most amazing thing. I lightened up the walls in my living room and it totally change the look in the room. I wish I knew what color I used but I mixed paint colors that I already had and made my own color. After that I used 3M mounting tape to redo my fireplace and it really dressed up the fireplace. Another change is that I hung two lights that I found at Great American Furniture Warehouse above my TV. I love that it finished off the look of my living room. Check out my fireplace mantel redo HERE
I am super excited to show you the rest of my house updates. Next week I am going to share with you my new dining room and to say I am obsessed is an under statement.
