Polka Dot Candy Jar

Polka Dot Candy Jar

Hi Friends!  It’s Katie from Made to be a Momma stopping in again!  This month I have a super fun and quick craft for you and the best part about it–it holds candy! 🙂  I have a slight obsession with little jars and I am always thinking of creative ways to use them!   I have had this jar for a few months now and thought it would be perfect to hold some candy in my craft room–crafting gets stressful ya know?! 🙂   I thought it would be fun to add some paint to the jar but wanted to be able to still see what was actually in it so I went with with fun polka dots!

Materials:

Jar

Vinyl circles or circle stickers

Paint

Start of by cleaning your jar with rubbing alcohol so your vinyl circle will stick nicely.  I used a big circle punch to punch circles out of my silhouette cameo vinyl but I’m sure you could find circle vinyl pieces in your local craft stores!   Place your vinyl stickers on the jar.

Paint your jar.  I used a sponge brush and sponged the paint on giving it a fun look of texture!

Lastly, fill your jar with some of your favorite candy and tie some bakers twine or jute around the jar!  This would make a really sweet back to school teachers gift, a thoughtful “congratulations to the new mom gift” and more!  You can even swap out the candy for other things depending on the size of your jars.  Have fun with it!
