WOW! We are just thrilled with all of the awesome submissions on 3M’s Facebook page for the Couple Speak Campaign! There are some awesome translations and amazing Couple Speak Video Submissions!

One contest is making a video to showcase the miscommunication that occurs when a couple works on projects together! The other contest is CoupleSpeak translation contest, where users can submit their own translations of “Couple Speak” for a chance to win $250 each week!

The amazing people over at 3M sent us some FABULOUS products to try out! Since we are pretty much constantly working on projects, we were SO excited to get our sample pack of these products delivered to our door step!
Some of the products we’ve used before but it was sooo exciting to get a chance to explore some of the other products they gave us!
3M sent us 2 LeadCheck Swabs, a roll of Scotch blue painter’s tape, some sandpaper and some protective equipment (which we need to be better about using for ALL of our projects!)
My house was built in 1942 so the LeadCheck Swabs were really smart! These swabs help you test the paint in your home (or whatever project you’re doing) in about 30 seconds! How’s that for quick!? Love it!
Did you know that any home built before 1978 should be tested before doing any repairs, renovations or paint jobs?? Wow! Check for lead people! Not worth the risk!
We all know I’m a sucker for painter’s tape! I use it all-the-time! Seriously, I use it for such a variety of projects! It’s my fave!

My lines came out CRISP and CLEAN and I was seriously impressed with the Scotch Blue Painter’s Tape and kinda impressed with my mad painting skills! 😉
What do you think of my wall!? Can you believe those crisp lines?! I had ZERO bleeding through the tape! I was (and still am) stoked about it!
Being the seriously awesome furniture painters/refinishers that we are (hehehe!) we use sand paper all the time too! On the white tv console pictured above, I used both the Scotch blue painter’s tape and the sand paper to distress the edges!
