My Living Room Reveal

FINALLY! We’ve lived here for 3 months and our living room is DONE! (For now…mostly!) lol! I always have more ideas but I really feel like this room is finally put together how I want it!
I do want to add an amazing rug and a gallery photo wall above the sofa (and get a new sofa… *hint hint hubby!*) BUT.. this is really working well for us right now!
I love love love this chair from Ballard designs but I hate $799.99 a piece! $1500 for two chairs! Geeeheeeez!!!
Here’s my knock off pair of chairs cost me less than $60 for the chairs and materials to reupholster them!
My first upholstery project ever!
I bought these chairs for $10 a piece a thrift store because I loved the lines and the french looking legs. It took me FOREVER to reupholster them because I got seriously distracted by other projects. I recovered them with $3.99/yard muslin that I used a 40% off coupon so the total was less than $60 for BOTH! Score!!

Eeek I love them!
Our sofa was a $35 Craigslist purchase when we first moved in and since we had zero furniture when we got here, it was a good find. I’m really excited to get a new one pretty soon now that we can kinda squeeze that in our budget but it’s not awful so the hubby isn’t in a huge hurry to let me get a new one! 😉
I’m not attached to the silver walmart lamp either but there is NO LIGHTING in this room so it was a necessity purchase when we first moved in. I’m on the lookout for a pretty, tall lamp to replace it eventually. Any suggestions?
I have completely done this room (and all of our other rooms) on a super tight budget! It’s more of a challenge for me to decorate on a teensy budget. I’m gonna go out on a limb here and tell you what I paid for the things in this room. Hopefully, it can inspire you to really find a good deal on things you love!
Cost breakdown (with links to already posted projects!)
Sofa – Craigslist – $35
Pillows – Cream ruffle (gift), Aqua ($3 for fabric to recover old pillow) – $3
Antique window – Craigslist – $5
Pink wreath – Thrift store – $1
Tin Vase – Yard sale – $1
Silk flowers – Walmart – $20  ( GASP! Don’t do that! Silk flowers are so expensive but I later found some at a yard sale to fill that vase even more and they were like $1! UGH!)
White end table – Thrift Store – $5
Curtains – Walmart sheets – $10 (for 2 sets)
Swirly Bench – Craigslist – $20
Tv console – Craigslist – $15
Chairs – Thrift store – $60 ($10 each + about $40 to reupholster) – tutorial coming soon!
Aqua table – Thrift store – $6
Lamp – Thrift store – $8
Paisley bolster pillows – I made them. $5 in fabric – tutorial coming soon!
Grand total… $194

And… one more time just for fun! Don’t they kind of have that Ballad look to them?

That is pretty dang good for ALL the furniture AND decor!
Don’t ya think?
