Baseball themed room ideas

Both of my brothers are big into baseball…
(My brother Stetson was even drafted by the L.A. Dodgers two years ago)
Although Stetson is married and has a house of his own now, my brother Hunter still has an awesome baseball themed room. My mom wanted to do something fun and different in the room. A few years ago she had someone paint a life size painting of Babe Ruth on the the wall. It is a great focus in the room. Then, through out the room my mom added  a cork board border. That way Hunter can add pictures, sayings or notes in a organized way.
Then the ball that Babe “hit” is on the other wall.
Then behind the door there is a small awkward wall
and the whole wall is now a
cork board with black painted trim around it.
I think this a cool thing that you could do an any playroom, craft room, or kids room.
Vintage Trophies on top of his desk, are a cute way to add a old style and charm.
Along with a framed shadow box with pictures, tickets, etc. from when my Uncle Brian won the World Series that Stetson and Hunter were able to attend in Florida.
I think anytime you can add pictures and memories to a room with the decor it makes a huge impact!
Also, on nanny 911 she talked about having pictures of people and memories that your child love in their room because it helps them feel safe.
This tin is for foul balls the boys have collected or home run balls they have hit.
The valances above the bed has bats and a ball nailed to it.
Hunter has a million hats, my mom added it to the decor above the closet with just plain old push pins.
I hope this room has helped you see how cute a themed room can be. I also hoped you have seen cork board in a new light.
Enjoy your Weekend!
With Love,

  2. Love your theme room. When I was younger I always said I wanted a NY Yankees room if I ever had a little boy. Now I have a boy, so I just need to get the room happening!! 🙂
