Oriental Silk Dresser Makeover
Remember this freebie I posted about? Well, she’s looking hot! Better than ever! Savannah and I gave her a makeover and it looks FAB if I do say so myself!
Here’s the Before to refresh your memory…
and AFTER! I LOVE it in white!
I LOVE the keyhole! The detail is gorgeous!
Lots of storage!
We used Behr’s Oriental Silk (one of our absolute favorites) and sprayed the hardware with Rustoleum’s Hammered Grey. The whole thing got a good couple coats of Minwax’s Polyacrylic.
All 9, yes NINE drawers are dovetail drawers and slide PERFECTLY! This is a super heavy, SUPER sturdy piece!
What do you think??
This is beautiful…me = jealous!
It looks amazing, love it!
Love that dresser! I did one to use as a sofa table and store all my pictures. Works great! You did an awesome job!

This us so pretty. I did very similar to one I just finished. Thanks for sharing.
LOVE! Great job girls! I love the black distressing. Did you paint it black first? Or glaze it?
That’s so pretty. What a lovely shade of white. I can see why that is your favorite. Your distressing is perfect, too. Saw you on i hear naptime!
Ugh, I’m so jealous! I wish this was mine. It’s gorgeous!!!
Do you sand the furniture first? I am curious the steps you take to paint the furniture. It looks awesome!!
Mallory and Savannah, This dresser turned out simply gorgeous! What a fantastic piece – love the inner drawers. Fantastic job finishing…the white is stunning. Thanks so much for linking to the Sunday Showcase party – I greatly appreciate it. I am a little behind commenting…but I have featured this last week. Hope you have a wonderful week ~ Stephanie Lynn

Too funny! I swear I just found that exact dresser lol. I’m going the complete opposite on mine and doing it a Jacobean stain with fabric panels in the drawer panels. I hope it turns out as good as yours!
You can’t help but to be happy whenever you look at this dresser! It’s got not one, but TWO smiley faces!! Great job!! 🙂
